Led Trailer Lights
If you travel extensively with a trailer, you know the hassle of getting lights hooked up that work. Most trailers come with light kits that are supposed to make it easy, but the minute the lights get submerged such as when backing a boat into the lake or river, they no longer work. You can avoid this by purchasing a trailer that has LED lights. LED lights are fully submersible because they are self contained, meaning there is no way for the water to short circuit them. This is very fortunate for any sportsman, as constantly having to worry about submerging the trailer or getting the boat off of it without harm is something no sportsman or recreational boater should have to worry with.
Where can you get LED trailer lights? Most sports shops sell kits to convert your current trailer lighting set up to LED lights. This includes both brake lighting and hazard lighting, so you’re covered on all fronts. Most kits will contain LED gu10 lights, which are low wattage lights fully self contained that can be installed in your standard trailers. The socket is the exact same, so you won’t have to worry about finding a kit to modify that, and once its installed, it operates the same as if you were still using fluorescent or incandescent lighting. LED lighting tends to be better on battery usage as well.
LED trailer lights are a great long term investment for any sporting guy or girl, since they can reduce the worry when it comes to getting your trailer wet and backing it into the landing to get your boat in the water. That way, you can spend more time having fun, and less time worrying about how to get the boat in and out of the water without harming either the boat or the trailer.
